The use of laminated glass continues to grow as architects increasingly design structures with enhanced impact protection. When Low-E coating is laminated against the pvb (embedded laminated glass), a significant reflected color shift occurs. The color of coated glass for embedded laminated applications is much more sensitive to small changes in the coating layer stack than standard insulating glass makeups. For this special reason, PRL will only be embedding the SN68 HT Low-E (tempered) to our laminated glass application. PRL will be bringing in a special SN68HT that can be an embedded laminated glass that will improve the uniformity and color consistency.
